About the UNT Press
The University of North Texas Press was founded in 1987 and published its first book in 1989. Though we are the newest university press in North Texas (following SMU Press and TCU Press), we have quickly become a leading press with the most titles in print and published (approximately 20-25 each year). We are fully accredited members of the Association of University Presses. Our books are distributed and marketed nationally and internationally through the Texas A&M University Press Consortium.New & Forthcoming Titles

INSURGENT POLITICS IN THE LONE STAR STATE “Insurgent Politics in the Lone Star State is an absorbing account of life on the front lines of the student movement in Austin in the 1960s. Blending memoir and historical insight, Murray captures the vitality of student activism in a turbulent era and reveals how police and federal agents surveilled and repressed dissent in Texas’s capital city.”—Gregg Michel, author of Struggle for a Better South: The Southern Student Organizing Committee, 1964–1969
“FORT WORTH FROM WORLD WAR II TO 1960 is a solid continuance of Rich’s now multivolume exploration of Fort Worth. He continues to make important contributions to the canon of our local history. It’s a good read and I’m grateful to Harold for his work.”—Quentin McGown, author of Remembering Fort Worth and Historic Photos of Fort Worth
